Football Game Preview: Corliss Trojans vs. Dyett Eagles + Official Tickets

The Corliss Trojans will venture away from home to face off against the Dyett Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Corliss will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Corliss' defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They took down Goode STEM Academy 18-0.

Meanwhile, Dyett took a blow against South Shore International on Thursday, falling 58-18.

Although Dyett took the loss, they still got scores from Riddie Madison, Zimbalist Griffin, and Cavonta Foster.

Even if they lost, Dyett's defensive line still kept up the pressure with five sacks. The heavy lifting was done by David Pipes Jr. and Tristan Brown, who racked up four sacks between them. Foster got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Corliss' victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Dyett, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Corliss didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Dyett in their previous matchup back in October of 2022, but they still walked away with a 12-6 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
