Football Recap: Surry Central Golden Eagles vs. Mount Airy Granite Bears
Surry Central had lost six straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 0-9 to make it seven. They had to suffer through a 62-10 loss at the hands of the Mount Airy Granite Bears. The Golden Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-7.
Will Pardue threw for 36 yards and one TD. Travon Sawyers was his top target, picking up 26 receiving yards.
As for Mount Airy, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-2. That looming 62-10 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for them yet this season.
