Volleyball Recap: Edison Private Takes a Loss

Edison Private was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the LaProgresiva Presbyterian Knights. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on Monday.

While Edison Private ultimately came up short, they really made LaProgresiva Presbyterian work, particularly in the fourth set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 20-25, 25-14, 29-27.

Despite the loss, Edison Private still got an impressive performance from Jennifer Rodriguez, who had 11 aces.

Edison Private's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for LaProgresiva Presbyterian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Coming up, Edison Private is taking a road trip to challenge Greater Miami Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for LaProgresiva Presbyterian, they will be playing at home against Redland Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The game will give the Knights their first taste of in-conference action this season.
