Fabius Pompey barely beat Bishop Grimes the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Falcons put the hurt on the Cobras with a sharp 12-5 win on Wednesday. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Cobras recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Mariana Newton was a major factor no matter where she played. She pitched seven innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off nine hits. Newton was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Maddy Marshall was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Aurora McDermott, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Fabius Pompey's win bumped their record up to 4-7-1. As for Bishop Grimes, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-5.
