It's playoff time, and Wake Prep Academy had no trouble coming through when it counted. They took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 37-0 victory over the Bartlett Yancey Buccaneers. The Guardians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by 26 points or more this season.

Wake Prep Academy found their leader in sophomore Landyn Roberts, who rushed for 121 yards and three scores while picking up 7.1 yards per carry, and also picked up 36 receiving yards and one TD.

Wake Prep Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Noah Taylor led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself.

Wake Prep Academy's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-3. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 39.0 points over those games. As for Bartlett Yancey, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.

Coming up, Wake Prep Academy will head out to face off against Martin County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Guardians 15, the Gators 12.8) so any points scored will be well earned. Bartlett Yancey does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
