Preview: Washington Eagles vs. O'Connell Boilermakers
The Washington Eagles will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the O'Connell Boilermakers at 5:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Washington's favor as the team sits on ten straight wins at home while O'Connell has been banged up by nine consecutive losses on the road.
Last Tuesday, Washington was able to grind out a solid victory over Galileo, taking the game 56-45.
Washington can attribute much of their success to Jaydon Chow, who scored 19 points along with two steals, and Jonah Chiu, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Chiu also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Johnson Chang was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Meanwhile, O'Connell came up short against The Academy - San Francisco on Tuesday and fell 59-46.
Washington has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season. As for O'Connell, their loss dropped their record down to 0-10.
Everything came up roses for Washington against O'Connell in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 84-15 victory. Will Washington repeat their success, or does O'Connell have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
