Basketball Recap: Cypress Bay Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Cypress Bay, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They came out on top against the South Plantation Paladins by a score of 58-45 on Tuesday. For the Lightning, this counts as revenge for the 89-39 win the Paladins walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2023.

South Plantation's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Franco Domine, who posted nine points and six boards. The dominant performance gave Domine a new career-high in points. Gabe Collier was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Cypress Bay's record is now 10-4. As for South Plantation, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 11-5.

Cypress Bay will square off against Blanche Ely at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for South Plantation, they will welcome Deerfield Beach at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
