Football Recap: St. Albans Takes a Loss + How To Watch

St. Albans extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to ten on Friday, dropping them down to 0-9. They were beaten by the Logan Wildcats 41-6. While losing is never fun, the Red Dragons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' West Virginia football rankings (they are ranked 98th, while the Wildcats are ranked 33rd).

Reece Lilly threw for 130 yards and one touchdown. Kayden Riggin was his top target, picking up 67 receiving yards and one TD.

As for Logan, their record is now 7-2. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their seven-point performance the game before.

Logan's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lucas Lambert led the charge by picking up 82 receiving yards and a pair of scores. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Johnson, who gained 94 total yards and a touchdown.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. St. Albans will square off against Chapmanville Regional at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Red Dragons will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least 31 points in their last seven matchups. As for Logan, they will take on Westside at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
