The Jefferson Wildcats will take on the Ottoville Big Green at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.

Jefferson is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Crestview on Thursday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Jefferson was outmatched by Crestview and fell 58-29. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 412th, while the Knights are ranked 62nd).

Meanwhile, Ottoville got the win against Fort Jennings on Thursday by a conclusive 74-48. The Big Green have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 25 points or more this season.

Ottoville's victory bumped their record up to 15-2. As for Jefferson, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.
