Basketball Game Preview: Four Corners Coyotes vs. Lake Nona Lions + How To Watch

The Four Corners Coyotes will square off against the Lake Nona Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

If Lake Nona heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Four Corners took over last week. The Coyotes walked away with a 49-36 victory over City of Life Christian Academy on Tuesday.

Four Corners' success was spearheaded by the efforts of Briana Carrion, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 24 rebounds, and Danielys Pena Ponce, who posted 18 points along with six assists and six boards. Those 18 points gave Carrion a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Nalani Frederick, who earned two points and nine rebounds.

Four Corners smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as City of Life Christian Academy only pulled down eight offensive rebounds.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Lake Nona, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They breezed past Lake Buena Vista to the tune of 41-8 on Wednesday.

Lake Nona found their leader in sophomore Bella Cary, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and ten boards. Another player making a difference was Aspen Wooten, who put up ten points and eight rebounds.

The win got Four Corners back to even at 1-1. As for Lake Nona, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.
