Basketball Recap: Port Richmond Takes a Loss

Port Richmond won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They came up short against the Curtis Warriors, falling 43-18. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 318th, while the Warriors are ranked 150th).

Port Richmond moved to 4-8 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Curtis, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-3.

Port Richmond has already played their next contest (against Beacon), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Curtis will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Tottenville at 5:30 p.m. on February 5th.
