Soccer Recap: Myrtle Beach Comes Up Short

Myrtle Beach was the 5-0 winner over St. James when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Myrtle Beach Seahawks fell just short of the St. James Sharks by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. One thing that didn't help the Seahawks' chances was the red card they were dealt courtesy of Eli Shitrit.

Myrtle Beach's goal came courtesy of Juan Rivera, who's now up to four this season.

Myrtle Beach's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for St. James, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Myrtle Beach will square off against Conway at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Myrtle Beach's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end. As for St. James, they will challenge Carolina Forest at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. St. James is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.6 goals per game this season.
