Blue Valley took a nine-run loss the last time they faced off against Gardner-Edgerton, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Tigers had just enough and edged out the Trailblazers 3-2. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 9-0 win the Trailblazers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

The victory got Blue Valley back to even at 2-2. As for Gardner-Edgerton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4.

Blue Valley has already played their next contest (against Blue Valley North), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Gardner-Edgerton, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lee's Summit West at 4:30 p.m. on the 18th.
