Softball Recap: Eastside Comes Up Short

Eastside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-8 heartbreaker at the hands of the Knight Hawks. The Lions were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hawks earlier this season, when they won 18-15.

Sayde Morgan was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. Another player making a difference was Julia Green, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Eastside's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8-1. As for Knight, their victory bumped their record up to 7-5.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Eastside is set to square off against their familiar foe Quartz Hill at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Knight will take on rival Lancaster at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
