Softball Recap: Pueblo South Takes a Loss

Pueblo South scored first but ultimately less than Pueblo County in their matchup on Thursday. They lost 15-5 to the Hornets. The loss continues a trend for the Colts in their meetings with the Hornets: they've now lost five in a row.

Kennedy Camacho-Orona was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. That stolen base was her first of the season. Desirae Colby was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Pueblo South's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Pueblo County, their victory bumped their record up to 10-4.

Looking ahead, Pueblo South is taking a road trip to square off against Pueblo East at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Pueblo County, they will host Pueblo West at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Cyclones will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Hornets surely won't give up without a fight.
