St. Louis put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They pulled ahead with a 43-42 photo finish over the Maryknoll Spartans. The 43-point effort marked the Crusaders' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

St. Louis' win bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Maryknoll, they moved to 9-2 with that defeat, which also ended their nine-game winning streak.

St. Louis didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 43-32 victory against Mililani on the 14th. Maryknoll and El Capitan will compete for holiday cheer at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday. El Capitan is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 64.2 points per game this season.
