Basketball Recap: Churubusco Victorious

Churubusco hadn't done well against Lakeland recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Churubusco Eagles came out on top in a nail-biter against the Lakeland Lakers, sneaking past 41-38. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Lakeland lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Cara Schackow, who posted four points in addition to eight rebounds and seven blocks. The dominant performance gave Schackow a new career-high in blocks. Another player making a difference was Mckenzie Carlson, who earned ten points.
