Basketball Recap: Westminster Christian Academy Piles Up the Points Against False River

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Westminster Christian Academy). They claimed a resounding 76-29 win over the False River Gators. The Chargers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 27 points or more this season.

Westminster Christian Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Tyler Spraggins out in front who posted 25 points and four steals. That's the most points Spraggins has posted since back in November of 2023. Another player making a difference was Zeph Prejean, who had 17 points and four steals.

The win (which was Westminster Christian Academy's fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-1. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.5 points per game. As for False River, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

Westminster Christian Academy will welcome Basile on Monday. One thing working in Westminster Christian Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests. False River will take on Central in a holiday battle at at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
