Peru won the last time they faced Marion and things went their way on Monday too. The Tigers had just enough and edged out the Giants 5-4.

Jackson Boswell tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over 4.2 innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four).

At the plate, Dylan Heyob was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. Carter Musser was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Peru's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Marion, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Peru will host Caston at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Comets will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Marion, they will welcome Blackford at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
