There's no place like home for New Castle, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Rushville Lions on Wednesday. The win continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won nine in a row.

New Castle's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Caiden Regan, who scored a run while going 3-for-3. Another was Jayden Sticco, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

New Castle's win bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Rushville, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, New Castle will square off against Knightstown at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Trojans surely won't give up without a fight. As for Rushville, they will take on Greensburg at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Pirates will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
