Baseball Recap: Otsego Knights vs. Wauseon Indians
Otsego blew Wauseon out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Wednesday Wauseon got their revenge. The Knights fell just short of the Indians by a score of 9-7. The Knights' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.
Bodde Simon put in work no matter where he played. He struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. Simon was even better at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Collin Wendt was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Hartman, who got three hits from his four at bats.
Otsego's defeat dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Wauseon, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-13 record this season.
As of now, neither Otsego nor Wauseon have any future games scheduled.
