Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lakeland). Everything went their way against the Northland Pines Eagles on Tuesday as they made off with a 24-1 win. The high-scoring effort was just what the Thunderbirds needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Lakeland pushed their record up to 7-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Northland Pines, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Lakeland is set to face off against their familiar foe Rhinelander at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Northland Pines will take on rival Medford at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
