Baseball Recap: Indian Springs Comes Up Short

After flying high against St. Bernard Prep last Thursday, Indian Springs came back down to earth. The Indian Springs Student came up short against the Glencoe Yellowjackets on Friday, falling 17-2.

Indian Springs saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dylan Heald, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Heald is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Indian Springs' loss dropped their record down to 6-6-1. As for Glencoe, their victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-10.

Indian Springs and Glencoe could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings. Indian Springs will square off against Oak Grove at 4:30 p.m. on Monday down 269 places (287 vs. 18). Similarly, Glencoe (ranked 356th) will meet North Sand Mountain (ranked 121st) at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
