There's no place like home for Watseka, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 63-54 win over the Hoopeston Cornjerkers on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 51-43 back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, Hoopeston still got an impressive performance from Brayden Walder, who went 7 of 17 to rack up 22 points and five steals. Thanks to that strong game, Walder now owns an excellent 40.4% three-point shooting accuracy. Nick Cardenas was another key player, going 5 for 11 en route to 15 points.

Watseka's victory bumped their record up to 9-17. As for Hoopeston, they dropped their record down to 16-11 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Watseka will head out to face off against Cissna Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Watseka is facing Cissna Park at the right time seeing as Cissna Park is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Hoopeston, they will host Georgetown-Ridge Farm at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hoopeston is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.6 points per game this season.
