Volleyball Recap: Meade Takes a Loss

Meade was the 2-0 winner over Liberal when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Buffaloes fell 2-0 to the Redskins on Saturday. The Buffaloes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meade was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-14.

Laken Hooper paced Meade's offense, picking up five kills. Hooper got some help from Sayler Stapleton and her nine assists. Jaylee Eckhoff controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Meade's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Liberal, their win bumped their record up to 4-10.

Coincidentally, Meade and Liberal will both be playing Dodge City the next time they take the court. The Buffaloes will host the Demons at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Redskins will host them on Thursday.
