Softball Game Preview: WestSide Renegades vs. Van Bulldogs

WestSide is on a five-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Van a 14-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Thursday. The WestSide Renegades will welcome the Van Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

WestSide lost 11-3 to Liberty on Wednesday.

WestSide saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Shay Bailey, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That double was Bailey's first of the season.

Meanwhile, Van scored the most runs they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They came up short against River View, falling 27-12.

Shanna Cabell was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Brailynn McCarty was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

WestSide's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Van, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.

WestSide took their victory against Van when the teams last played two weeks ago by a conclusive 6-0 score. Will the Renegades repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
