While Andrews's win against Pecos wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Andrews Mustangs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 victory over the Pecos Eagles on Thursday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Mustangs as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.

Andrews let Daylon Jefcoats and Ashton Mosley run wild. Jefcoats scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4, while Mosley scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Jefcoats also put up a triple, which was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Grayson Martindale, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Andrews' victory bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Pecos, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-10.

Coming up, Andrews will face off against Seminole at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Seminole is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season. As for Pecos, they will challenge Fort Stockton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
