Softball Recap: Scarsdale Takes a Loss

Scarsdale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They fell 7-3 to the Rye Garnets. The Raiders were not able to make up for their loss to the Garnets from their previous meeting back in May of 2021.

Scarsdale saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was L. Zoland, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Scarsdale's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Rye, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.

Looking ahead, Scarsdale will head out on the road to face off against Eastchester at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so the Raiders' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Rye does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
