MacArthur has gone 9-1 against Westfield recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Generals will look to defend their home field against the Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. MacArthur will be strutting in after a victory while Westfield will be coming in after a loss.
MacArthur's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over Spring. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Generals.
Artemio Mata made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because MacArthur is 5-2 when he allows at most one earned run, but 7-8 otherwise. Mata was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Adrian Castillo was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Juan Vasquez, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
MacArthur was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Spring only posted a batting average of .222.
Meanwhile, Westfield fell victim to Aldine and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Aldine. Westfield hasn't had much luck with Aldine recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.
Westfield's defeat dropped their record down to 8-14. As for MacArthur, their win bumped their record up to 12-10.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. MacArthur has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.5 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Westfield struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.7 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
MacArthur got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in April of 2025 against Westfield by a conclusive 10-0 score. Will the Generals repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
