Recap: Randolph Vo-Tech vs. Philadelphia Academy Charter Chargers
Randolph Vo-Tech were the 63-39 winner over the Philadelphia Academy Charter Chargers when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Randolph Vo-Tech was beaten by Philadelphia Academy Charter 50-22 on Wednesday.
Philadelphia Academy Charter's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jordan Benzenhafer, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Brennan-Melo, who scored eight points along with five steals.
Randolph Vo-Tech's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 0-1. As for Philadelphia Academy Charter, they pushed their record up to 1-0 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Randolph Vo-Tech will face off against Science Leadership Academy at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Philadelphia Academy Charter, they will head out on the road to face off against KIPP DuBois Collegiate Academy at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
