Recap: Northland Lutheran Wildcats vs. Elcho Hornets
The Northland Lutheran Wildcats scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Elcho, posting a 56-23 win on the road. Northland Lutheran has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 20 points or more this season.
Abby Ostrowski had an outrageously good game as she scored 19 points. That's the first time this season that she scored 15 or more points. Sadie Russ was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Northland Lutheran's win bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Elcho, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northland Lutheran will take on Tomahawk at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Wisconsin (Tomahawk is ranked 421st, while Northland Lutheran is ranked 406th). As for Elcho, they will head out on the road to take on Stockbridge at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
