Baseball Recap: Greeley Comes Up Short

Greeley made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Putnam Valley, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Quakers fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 8-6 on Monday. If the Quakers were looking for revenge after losing 10-3 to the Tigers when the teams met back in April of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Greeley's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Putnam Valley, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-1.

Coming up, Greeley will square off against Clarkstown South at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Vikings' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Quakers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Putnam Valley, they will take on The Leffell School at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The game will give the Tigers their first taste of in-conference action this season.
