Volleyball Recap: South Aiken Baptist Christian Takes a Loss

South Aiken Baptist Christian lost against Curtis Baptist two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The CRUSADERS took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Crusaders.

While South Aiken Baptist Christian was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-18.

Lauren Holley paced South Aiken Baptist Christian's offense, picking up four kills. Holley got some help from Bella Bailey and her five assists. Olivia Bateman controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Curtis Baptist found their leader in sophomore Nata Kilroy, who had eight digs and two aces. Kilroy has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played.

South Aiken Baptist Christian has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-10-1 record this season. As for Curtis Baptist, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 15-5.

South Aiken Baptist Christian has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Mead Hall Episcopal School on the 17th. As for Curtis Baptist, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Jefferson Davis Academy on the 17th.
