Football Game Preview: Clairton Bears vs. Brentwood Spartans

The Clairton Bears will head out to face off against the Brentwood Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Clairton's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last seven contests.

Brentwood's offense is going to have their work cut out for them on Friday: Clairton hadn't allowed a single point the last seven times they've hit the field. The Bears really took it to Riverview for the full four quarters, racking up a 66-0 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Bears' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 110th, while the Raiders are ranked 407th).

Meanwhile, Brentwood came up short against Leechburg on Friday and fell 48-41. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Clairton's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Brentwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.

Everything came up roses for Clairton against Brentwood when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 69-7 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bears since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
