Baseball Game Preview: Astronaut War Eagles vs. Rockledge Raiders

Astronaut is 1-9 against Rockledge since February of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Astronaut War Eagles will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against the Rockledge Raiders at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Astronaut came up into this matchup off a tough 13-run defeat on Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Titusville by a score of 6-4 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the War Eagles have suffered since March 19, 2024.

Robert Lowe made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Sargenti, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 15 runs the game before, Rockledge was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They fell just short of University by a score of 1-0. The loss was the Raiders' first of the season.

This is the second loss in a row for Astronaut and nudges their season record down to 1-3. As for Rockledge, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Astronaut suffered a grim 6-0 defeat to Rockledge when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can Astronaut avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
