Soccer Recap: Myrtle Beach Takes a Loss

After soaring to seven goals the game before, Myrtle Beach was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Socastee Braves by a score of 2-1. Myrtle Beach were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Socastee apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Myrtle Beach has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5-1 record this season. Socastee pushed their record up to 6-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Myrtle Beach is set to challenge their familiar foe Carolina Forest at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Socastee will take on rival Conway at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
