Volleyball Recap: Monterey Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Monterey was the 3-1 winner over Clarkrange when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Wildcats fell just short of the Buffaloes by a score of 3-2 on Monday. Wildcats fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Buffaloes since Monday.

Monterey's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-4. As for Clarkrange, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Monterey will challenge rival Clay County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Clarkrange is set to take on their familiar foe Red Boiling Springs at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
