Hoggard had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They strolled past the Rolesville Rams with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 59-45. Winning may never get old, but the Vikings sure are getting used to it with their 21st in a row.

Hoggard got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Tristan Shivers out in front who went 6-for-11 en route to 20 points and seven assists. That makes it three consecutive games in which Shivers has scored at least a third of Hoggard's points. AK Chance was another key player, shooting 83% from the field to rack up 14 points and six rebounds.

Loss or not, Rolesville got some senior leadership from Camryn Lee and Gabrielle Matthews. Lee posted 16 points, while Matthews had 15 points.

Hoggard's victory was their 12th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 30-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.3 points over those games. As for Rolesville, they moved to 19-11 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Hoggard will square off against Wakefield at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Wakefield will roll in looking for their 18th straight win, something Hoggard surely won't give up without a fight. Rolesville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
