Softball Recap: Turtle Lake/Clayton Comes Up Short

Turtle Lake/Clayton and Boyceville squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Turtle Lake/Clayton had to settle for second. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 11-1. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Titans couldn't push the score so high this time.

Turtle Lake/Clayton has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 19-7 record this season. As for Boyceville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-4 record this season.

Turtle Lake/Clayton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Boyceville, they will take on Grantsburg at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bulldogs 2.4, the Pirates 2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
