Football Game Preview: Catholic Bears vs. Madison-Ridgeland Academy Patriots

Catholic is on a seven-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Madison-Ridgeland Academy is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Bears will host the Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Catholic is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Louisiana's top teams: West Monroe, who was ranked 11th at the time (Catholic was ranked fourth). The Bears fell just short of the Rebels by a score of 27-24 on Friday. The loss was the Bears' first of the season.

Catholic better keep an eye on Samuel Stockett. He was instrumental in Madison-Ridgeland Academy's win, throwing for 281 yards and two TDs. Colson O'Cain was in the mix too, providing the Patriots with two touchdowns.

Madison-Ridgeland Academy's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Catholic, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.
