It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Dr. Phillips can now relate to. They fell just short of the Winter Haven Blue Devils by a score of 45-42 on Saturday. The Panthers' defeat signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Winter Haven got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Serenity Hardy out in front who posted 22 points and five rebounds. The match was Hardy's fourth in a row with at least 19 points. Another player making a difference was Quin'Nya Gray De Sanders, who put up seven points along with six boards and three steals.

Dr. Phillips' loss dropped their record down to 20-10. As for Winter Haven, the win was the 19th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 27-2.
