With a playoff win on the line, Hebbronville rose to the challenge on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Progreso Red Ants with a sharp 11-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Longhorns, who have now won ten matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Keyan Ramirez, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Derek Ramirez, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Hebbronville has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-10-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Progreso, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-11 record this season.

Hebbronville will have a chance to go back-to-back against Progreso: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
