Monterey dropped their record down to 16-9-1 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins. They lost 9-0 to the Sequatchie County Indians. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 5-4 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

As for Sequatchie County, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 15 matches by six runs or more this season.

For Sequatchie County's part, Madison Fine was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. That's the most hits Fine has posted since back in March. Jalyn Kelly was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

As of now, neither Monterey nor Sequatchie County have any future games scheduled.
