Basketball Recap: South Bend Riley Comes Up Short

South Bend Riley lost against Plymouth back in February of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Wildcats fell 45-36 to the Pilgrims/Rockies. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, South Bend Riley still got an impressive performance from Maddison Lawson, who posted 14 points. Tinayja Summers was another key player, putting up six points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

South Bend Riley's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Plymouth, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Bend Riley will face off against South Bend Washington at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats will be up against the Panthers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 58.8 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Plymouth, they will be playing at home against Warsaw at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Pilgrims/Rockies will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least 55 points in their last nine contests.
