Softball Recap: Bishop Diego Takes a Loss

After soaring to 16 runs the game before, Bishop Diego was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Santa Clara Saints. The loss was the Cardinals' first of the season.

Bishop Diego saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chelsea Hayes, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Having lost for the first time this season, Bishop Diego fell to 4-1. As for Santa Clara, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bishop Diego will square off against Castaic at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Santa Clara, they will challenge Foothill Tech at 4:00 p.m. on March 20th.
