Basketball Recap: Lafayette Comes Up Short

Lafayette was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 45-44 heartbreaker at the hands of the Ladue Horton Watkins Rams. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lancers of the 61-54 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2023.

Lafayette's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Ladue Horton Watkins, their win bumped their record up to 6-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lafayette will host Pattonville at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lafayette is facing Pattonville at the right time seeing as Pattonville is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Ladue Horton Watkins, they will challenge University City at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
