Recap: Waupaca Comets vs. Lake Region Christian Hornets
The Waupaca Comets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their sixth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 33-12 walloping at the hands of Lake Region Christian. The game was over by the end of the first half, with no points scored by either team from that point forward.
Leading Lake Region Christian to victory were Harley Amundson and Aleah DeVries. Amundson scored ten points along with seven rebounds and three steals, while DeVries scored eight points along with ten rebounds and three steals. Amundson has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played.
Waupaca's loss dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Lake Region Christian, their win bumped their record up to 3-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Waupaca will take on Wrightstown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lake Region Christian and Cambridge Christian will face off at 4:00 p.m. on January 8th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
