It was a good run, but Space Coast unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-game winning streak on Wednesday. They had to suffer through a 75-20 loss at the hands of the New Smyrna Beach Barracudas. The Vipers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-9.

New Smyrna Beach got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Olivia Olson out in front who went 7 for 15 on her way to 19 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. Olson has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 12 times she's played. Iniya Reddicks was another key player, going 5 of 7 en route to 14 points in addition to six boards and five steals.

Space Coast's loss dropped their record down to 14-6. As for New Smyrna Beach, their win bumped their record up to 13-5.

Space Coast has already played their next matchup, a 71-49 defeat against Cocoa on the 16th. As for New Smyrna Beach, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-52 victory against Spruce Creek on the 16th.
