             With a playoff game on the line, Chapin rose to the challenge  on Friday. They won a  matchup that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by the Goose Creek Gators 17-16. That's two games straight that the Eagles have won by  just one  point.
 The critical scores for Chapin came from  Tanner Short and  Khalen Bostick.
 One reason for the win was Chapin's imposing  defense, which managed to get into the backfield for 5.5 sacks. Goose Creek's QB  won't forget  Short anytime soon given he sacked him three times. Chapin got some further help from  Parker Collins: he picked up  a  sack and made seven total tackles (2.0 for loss).
 The  victory made it two in a row for Chapin and  bumps their season record up to 6-5. As for Goose Creek,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 5-6.
 Chapin will face off against Irmo at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. The timing is sure in Irmo's favor as the  squad sits on five straight wins at home while Chapin has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road. Goose Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
