Geneva won the last time they faced Yorkville Christian and things went their way on Monday too. The Vikings walked away with a 12-8 victory over the Mustangs. With that win, the Vikings brought their scoring average up to 6.5 runs per game.

Clara Lyons was incredible, firing off two home runs, four runs, and four RBI while going 4-for-4. Kaitlyn Sprague was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple.

Geneva's victory ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-6. As for Yorkville Christian, they dropped their record down to 2-4 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Geneva will head out to square off against Wheaton-Warrenville South at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Yorkville Christian, they will take on Families of Faith Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
